The INs & OUTs Lab

Welcome to the INs & OUTs Lab — the combined Rodan and Rothenfluh labs in the Molecular Medicine Program at the University of Utah.  We are located in the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics on the University’s Health Sciences campus.  Our labs use Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism to study renal function, ion transport, and how water and ion OUT-put are regulated.  We are also interested in the IN-take of water, food, and especially drugs of abuse.

To learn more about renal function and ion transport please see the Rodan Lab page.  To learn more about the neurobiology of addiction please see the Rothenfluh Lab page.
